For the 25th anniversary of Rom for Dans, this project involved developing a visual identity that supports and communicates their jubilee performance, as well as their work over the past 25 years. The final outcome includes a catalog, brochure, and posters, designed to tie together the performance and its historical context.
The design is inspired by skin as a central element, focusing on texture, tactility, and form—where the skin becomes a storyteller and the body represents a life’s work. Through text that mimics the shape of the body and forms that create negative space within the text, the text itself becomes part of the image. By using elements like repetition and abstract close-ups of skin, different stories and associations emerge, appealing to pareidolia—the human instinct to find meaning in the abstract.
